JMMC ASPRO2 24.09 ready for ESO Period 115 & CHARA 2025A semester

This last Aspro2 release provides long-standing enhancements (UV Coverage panel to handle U-axis orientation, new live mode ’now’ to generate only 1 data point to OIFITS, ’Configuration Manager’ available in all versions).

The SearchFTT service searches for nearby stars suitable for off-axis Fringe Tracking and off-axis Adaptive Optics.
It has been greatly improved to provide a new ranking based on a simplified model of AO (GPAO) and FT (GRAVITY) of VLTI: https://searchftt.jmmc.fr/index.html

For VLTI users needing assistance to prepare their VLTI proposals, the community-supported VLTI Expertise Centres – distributed throughout Europe - can offer in-depth support. They also offer support for observation preparation, advanced data reduction and analysis.

For CHARA users, Cyprien Lanthermann (clanthermann gsu.edu) as CHARA Visitor Support Scientist and Jeremy Jones (jjones176 gsu.edu) as CHARA Data Scientist are available to assist new observers with selecting instruments, planning observations, and collecting, and reducing data.
