Maintenance / service outage

You can find some information in advance for planned or unplanned maintenance and have a list of past outages. We are sorry for the inconvenience of any failure. Please contact the user support team for any issue.

Since June 19, 2026

Some services hosted by one cluster are not reachable from our reverse proxy. Sysop colleagues have been notified. catalogAPI, OImaging(Beta), OiDB, releases, voar and SearchFTT services are impacted.

4th of june 2026

OiDB and catalog server will be unavailable due to the migration of the database server hosted by OSUG.

27th of april 2026 09:00-12:00 AM CEST

The migration of the JMMC Virtual Machines in Grenoble is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 27, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM CEST.
Some services will remain operational, but those relying on authentication will be affected for about an hour or two.
We’ll let you know once the migration is complete. Please let us know if this time slot conflicts with other operations.

OiDB’s content has been checked and everything is working properly back again. Your data are welcome !

OiDB currently has some issues that prevent full operations. Please delay your data submissions or contact the jmmc-user support. Sorry for the inconvenience.

9th of july 2025

An electrical maintenance will occur in a major datacenter at Grenoble University on Wednesday, July 9 8:30 AM CEST. JMMC’s infrastructure will be offline all day from the start of the maintenance.

15th of may 2025

Network issues have been pinpointed during these last days on the Grenoble Observatory datacenter. Faulty equipments will be restarted to fix issues encountered since 3 weeks.

6th of may 2025

A third outage occured in the morning on most JMMC services hosted at Grenoble due to network instability. Sysadmin still are working to solve it.

24-25th and 28-29th of april 2025

Some JMMC services hosted on the OSUG’s cloud infrastructure get lot network cuts. Some parts have been restarted and solved the issue.

9th of march 2023 18:30-21:00 CEST

The Université Grenoble Alpes’s network infrastructure will be upgraded on next 9th of march 2023 between 18:30 and 21:00. Some network interruptions may occur for a couple of minutes.
More details will come for 28th of March and 6th of April with some other maintenance tasks.

2nd of november 2022 19:00 CEST

OiDB was down from the 2nd of november 2022 19:00 CEST to the 5th 15:00. Restart has been performed using our last working snapshot.

17th of june 2022 10:10-10:33 CEST

A network routing issue on the French academic infrastructure prevented access to JMMC’s services hosted at Nice and Grenoble.

8th of june 2022 7:00-10:00 CEST

Due to an electrical outage in one of the Grenoble DataCenter most hosted services were unreachable.

20th and 22th of april 2021 17:30-18:30 CEST

Due to network updates at Grenoble University, most JMMC services hosted on the Grenoble Observatory will be offline from 17:30-18:30 CEST on tuesday 20th and thursday 22th of april 2021.
