JMMC ASPRO2 25.09 ready for ESO Period 117 & CHARA 2026A semester

This last Aspro2 provides preliminary support for VLTI’s new GPAO (Laser Guide Star - LGS) under commissioning on UTs (8m), added GAIA Bp/Rp fluxes (G_rp used by GPAO VIS) that can be retrieved by the JMMC GetStar resolver, which is now the default star resolver. The previous CDS’s Simbad resolver is still available by selecting it on the menu appearing if clicking on the small arrow of the text box.

Please note that:

  • JMMC GetStar (beta) uses the JMMC GetStar 6 beta service using the JSDC3 EA (2025.07) catalog containing 2.5e6 stars (TYCHO2 x HIP x GAIA DR3 x 2MASS x AllWise ...). If your object is missing or only known by CDS Simbad, then select ’SIMBAD’ resolver to get a bit more information (fluxes)
  • ASPRO2 can update all your targets by using the menu action ’Update all targets’ using the currently selected resolver (GetStar or Simbad).
